Infrared images I shot at Tickfaw State Park last Sunday.

Just a few. )

OMG SHOES. I want these and these. Why are they so cute (and cheap!)? Oh Gmarket, why do you tempt me so? It's the things like this that make me want to dress nice and girly all the time Woe.

I opened the store this morning and I have to open again tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't be getting paid until next week. :/ We do get paid every week though instead of every other. which means I will still be constantly broke

Random: Some man just came in and offered me a fresh church made praline but I don't have any money on me. He bought it for me. OMG. That was so sweet.

Please text, comment, email spam me. I'm so bored. :( I hope my mom brings me some sushi for lunch. Mmmm. Getting back to work (ie surfing the internet). ♥

PS. Don't forget about my Holiday card post. ^^

What is this weather? It's fabulous. Sun shining, wind blowing, and a nice cool 66°F. Ah, I shall enjoy it while it lasts. I wish it was like this yesterday!

So yesterday, John, Ben, and I went to Hammond in search of a nice scenic environment to enjoy nature and yadda yadda. We ended up at Tickfaw State Park. The Nature Center is really nice, I will give it that and there are like 4 or so trails to choose from. Swamp, Hardwood, River, and something else that I can't remember. We accidentally passed up one of them, so we ended up at the Hardwood trail. It was .7 miles of a trail through the woods. The most nature we encountered were a few butterflies, some fungus, MOSQUITOES, and two giant grasshoppers (that I wanted to smush). It was hot unlike we thought it would be and just rather boring to be honest. Lol.

It's definitely nothing compared to Clark Creek (dial-up users beware), that's for sure. I wouldn't mind going back and going on the River trail when it's a bit cooler, so I don't get eaten by mosquitoes.

But I still took pictures, of course! )

That's all I have. I need to go wash clothes and shower. ♥

I'm about two weeks late, but it's better than nothing. -_-;;

Clark Creek - Part 2 (23) )

Tech specs:
Canon EOS 350D / Rebel XT
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Curves and saturation edits in PSP8.

Depending on how my day goes tomorrow, I may post pictures from my niece's 2nd birthday party and I may post the images I shot for our first assignment in photo (everyone had to take one roll [film or digital] in a week of things that they love or interest them; the results were pretty neat).

Also, E.H.B. Episode 11 was FANTASTIC. Oh, bb Kyu~! You are a prince. So much love. I cannot wait for next week's episode or the subs for this one. Teukie in a shopping cart AND AND underwater mouth to mouth FTW! *dies*

I am finally giving in and going buy a second external hard drive - 500GB Western Digital My Book. I'm running out of space so quick and I'm afraid of filling my drive up to capacity. :O

Ta. 'Til next time. ♥

Whoo. I just went through all of my posts that I've ever posted and put a # tag on all of my photo posts. D: I'm quite embarrassed and a little disgusted at some of my older photography. o.o

Anyway, lots of pictures from The Myrtles, a cemetery (both in St. Francisville, LA), and Clark Creek (Mississippi) right behind this lovely cut. I won't post all of them here since there are so many and because I want to do some individual photo posts with some of the ones that I really like. Enjoy. :)

The Myrtles and Clark Creek - Part 1 (28 pictures) )

Tech specs:
Canon EOS 350D / Rebel XT
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Curves and saturation edits in PSP8.

Geez. I'll post the second part tomorrow and from there will do individual posts.

Ta for now. ♥

So it's been over a month since I've actually posted a photo post. :O I'm disgusted with myself. :P But I have a few images to share today that I found while looking through my negatives from Fall 2006 (yes, nearly a year ago).

2 black/white. (Large resolution images!) )

Comments and concrit welcome as always.

I'll be catching up on my flist later tonight. I'm off to mom's to try to debug their computer. Oh, I know I bitch about not having any money, but I could not resist and got this. *hides* It's the cheapest one I could find that was that damn cute. x3

Err, I think I'll go now. Ta. ♥

Anyway, I have a couple more pictures from the Lafayette trip Thursday. The last three are a bit repetitive but I can't choose a favourite. :/

Five images. )

Comments and concrit welcome as always.

Wow. This is my first photo post in over a month. :O

Bigger + 1 behind the cut. )

It's nice to finally get some photography under my belt after so long, even if these are no where near as interesting or fun as things I've done in the past. Robert [ profile] boberto518 wants me to do some headshots, so hopefully we'll get on that this week or this coming weekend. We'll see. I just need to get out and shoot. I'm also itching to get some infrared done, but I need to find some new places to go.

I feel accomplished today. :D I managed to revamp my lj layout as well as getting my domain under control. Simple yet effective. Have also tried to get in touch with a maintainer of [ profile] ohsnapshot with no response so far. I'd like to start modding some of my photography communities as it seems approval is backed up for weeks. Hopefully someone gets back to me.

Honestly, I rarely ever post this much. I don't know what's gotten into me, but I'm sure in due time things will slow down and I'll stop spamming your flists.

'til next time. ♥

Some of the boring stuff I did last week.

Buzz, buzz. )

My robes got mailed out the other day. I'm to expect them tomorrow, that is if she really did mail them out. D:

Spring Break started today. It was nice to be able to sleep in this morning even though I set my alarm for 9:45 and didn't wake up. :P John and I are going photo-ing tomorrow no matter what (unless it rains or something) and hopefully Tuesday we're going to go thrifting. I want to try my luck at finding some old med. format/toy cameras for real cheap.

Chloe's on her way to Eqypt for SB! I am so jealous omg. She said she's going to take a 'Weasley waving' picture in front of the pyramids. lol. I wish my family would go on awesome vacations like that. The most we go is to like...Mississippi or Florida. Oh hay, can we switch it up a bit, pls? John and I still have to go to Oregon. One of these days, one of these days.

Also, flist, keep the blooming sakura pictures coming, I don't think I can ever tire of them. Mmm.

I think that's it. Happy Easter and Spring Break to those who get it. :)

Ta. ♥

Just two, nothing special.

Leaves & Gerbil. )

I ended up not getting that jacket or shirt I linked to in my last post. The jacket was too light/seafoam green for my liking and I couldn't find the cami. So instead I got a different jacket that looks similar and a brown knit sleeveless cardigan top - link to outfit (I am in desperate need of a haircut. D:). AND I bought some cute ass white-grey/black striped socks that go over the knee. I need to get some brown flats and get my pants hemmed. Maybe I can do that next week.

I also bought a new camera bag today - the 4 Million Dollar Home Crumpler in black. It's normally about $58 and I got it for $39.39 at the City with John ([ profile] heyu1021)'s discount. I needed something smaller and that didn't look like a camera bag especially for walking around and it not being completely obvious I have a camera on me.

I set out to BAM today to go pre-order my copy of Deathly Hallows and the bastards didn't have the vouchers yet. Pls to not be advertising the pre-ordering of the book if you don't have the vouchers, thnx. They said they'd probably have them tomorrow. Ugh.

I also need to get on the ball of ordering some of the other things I'm going to need for PR. I need to order my robes before March 16 (according to her turn-around) and I need to get ordering some more costume/uniform stuff. I found a website that has a style of skirt that'll work really well for the uniform. I'm still contemplating whether or not I'm going to get new shoes or if I'm just going to try to find some padding or sole things to put in the ones that I already have. I dunno. I need to quit spending so much money that I don't need to, though. Gah.

I FIXED IT! ) I also added all of the colour section lines that I need for it. The only thing left is to make it bigger and to add the 'floating' elements. Bleh.

And that's all.

Show me some love. :) ♥ My Valentinr - photonerd

It's been a pretty rollercoaster day. Anna Nicole died suddenly this afternoon and I found out that a girl I grew up with and graduated with died Tuesday night in a car crash. Her last act was to get out of the car to check on her one year old son and she collapsed and died from internal bleeding afterwards.

Natasha Thibodeaux

I never thought that I would have to say rest in peace to a friend so young. It's unbelievable.

So, I spent 9 hours in the darkroom yesterday. D:

I got to school a little before 9:00 AM and didn't leave until 5:00 PM. I got 4 final prints done. That's 1 print every 2.25 hours. I have to go back today and spend another 4+ hours getting one more final print, fixing another print, and mounting everything for Monday. If I don't finish, then I'll be going to school SUPER EARLY on Monday to get my prints mounted before crit at 1:00 PM.

Here are four out of five prints. Again, they aren't the greatest quality because I had to take pictures of them.

Project: Final - Organic Debris )

I also have a shot of my Colour Counterchange project from Design 251.

Here little Snidget. )

Comments welcome.

I am looking at at least three As to bring my GPA back up. OMGSOHAPPY!
